Mason Darrow

Mason Darrow, a Princeton football player, comes out as gay four days before kickoff.

And then this happened, at Princeton University. . . "I did what I thought was expected of me," Darrow says. I think this is something to which we can all relate at any place on the gender spectrum. "Masc," "Femme," or whatever, we should all have the opportunity to express who we are, and not who others expect us to be.

If I Have Gay Children...

When you hear a father talk of his deep affection and love for his children, it can bring tears to anyone no matter how stoic they may be. Pastor John Pavlovitz plainly blogs about the kind of father he hopes to be to his children. If they grow up to be LGBTQ, that's great! As every father should, I'll love, cherish, admire, and accept EVERYTHING about them no matter who they're attracted to (a paraphrased message to Christian fathers).

His experience as a pastor has enabled him to stand up against some of the most ignorant, angry, gay-hating people around. Ignore those people and love your children and accept them no matter what! He openly expresses what millions of LGBTQ children may sadly never experience--a father's pure love and acceptance. You're their father and that's what fathers do. They stand up for their children and love them more than anyone in the world and for who they are! (paraphrased)

In his words, "I won’t love them despite their sexuality, and I won’t love them because of it. I will love them; simply because they’re sweet, and funny, and caring, and smart, and kind, and stubborn, and flawed, and original, and beautiful… and mine."

Former Republican Conservative Senator of Wyoming States His Support For LGBTQ Marriage

In the Politico on April 7th, an article explains how former Republican Senator Alan Simpson of Wyoming (heterosexual) comes out as a proponent for LGBTQ marriage. In his short commercial, he explains how he grew up in a small conservative town in Wyoming.

While LGBTQ marriage used to be solely supported by liberals and the Democrat Party, today Republicans are starting to understand that LGBTQ marriage is not a political matter; it's a human matter.

How Children Today Are Reacting to LGBTQ Marriage

While this video is a year old, if you have not seen it, it's definitely worth it. We are given an interesting perspective on how children initially react to LGBTQ marriage.

Gay marriage is an interesting topic of discussion because while "marriage" is a "traditional" ceremony, often people believe that when offering LGBTQ marriage, it becomes non-traditional even while the LGBTQ individuals have suffered for ages in silence without marriage.

It's about time we offer marriage to ALL adults within our diverse American population. We at LMP have strong conviction that marriage is a commitment that any adult person should be able to participate in. It should never be dependant upon one's race, gender, ethnicity, or sexual identity. A huge thanks to Fine Brothers Productions for this video!

Innocent responses to gay marriage--very cute.

Young Gay Men Today Aren't Reporting Rape

According to a blog by Katie Koestner, (Director of Take Back the Night Foundation), says gay males aren't reporting rape. Today, more and more, gay rape is becoming a major topic of discussion in the media. Among the general population, rape is often not reported to the police while it is even more common among gay males.  It may just be too difficult for males to admit to such an event which can be perceived as humiliating. This mentality has to change! We all must bring awareness to these devastating incidences within our own local LGBTQ communities to help prevent such terrible atrocities.
