/  YOUR IMPACT

As a donor, you can provide the most fundamental tools and resources to improve romantic partnerships which are essentially the FOUNDATION of a healthy and vibrant community. Your donation will impact the LGBTQ individuals on the most intimate level by helping to develop the relationship skills and competencies to thrive. Even the smallest donation of $5-$10 can have a significant impact on individual LGBTQ wellbeing. Our goal is to overshadow ignorance regarding LGBTQ sexual-identity by effectively educating communities, offering LGBTQ relationship resources, and establishing healthy mentorships to bring about more socially responsible communities.

When you become involved in this urgent cause, you will be rewarded with the satisfaction of knowing that the LGBTQ community is happier and thriving in your local community. They will be better equipped with the tools for relationship success, sexual health, and emotional wellbeing. And that is a true reward in itself.

/  SOCIAL FACTORS

Did you know?

  • Many LGBTQ youth and young adults are being abandoned by their families on a daily basis due to misinformation regarding sexual identity.

  • LGBTQ youth are up to 7 times more likely to become homeless sometime in their lives than their heterosexual counterparts.

  • Between 20 and 40 percent of all homeless youth in the U.S. are LGBTQ identified (likely higher in some communities).

  • LGBTQ youth grades 7-12 are more than twice as likely to attempt suicide than their heterosexual counterparts.

  • HIV infection rates among gay males are actually increasing over the past 10 years within the U.S.

  • LGBT adolescents are 190% more likely to use drugs and alcohol than are heterosexual teens.

  • Sexual minority youth are bullied two to three times more than heterosexual youth.

  • Because of a lack of stable and affirming family role-models,  it is more difficult for LGBTQs to maintain a committed relationship than heterosexual couples.

/  THE NECESSITY

Are we seeing a common thread? A lack of healthy social support and guidance is to blame.  We need more openly accepting role-models for these youth and adults to form long-lasting and committed romantic relationships. To form a strong and vibrant LGBTQ future, it requires an ENTIRE community-effort to bring about significant improvement in the lives of LGBTQ minorities.
